MANEL R. AGUILAR
SOME CINEMATOGRAPHY WORK

Born and raised in Barcelona, Manel is a dedicated and inspired cinematographer who loves to tell stories through lighting, cameras, and lenses. After graduating in Audiovisual Communication, he attended Barcelona Film School (ECIB) and Escola de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya (ESCAC) where he received a master degree in Direction of Photography.

 

Manel has an appreciation for observing and capturing the realities of his everyday life inspiring him to recreate experiences on set that feel organic and raw. Having worked worldwide, he has developed a very personal style. With a global experience, his grasp on different climates and light conditions allows him to translate that on set.

 

Through his experience in lighting department, he learned the importance of being fast and efficient and gained a wealth of knowledge on lighting machinery and grip applications. Team work, team management and being open minded are basic characteristics for him to succeed in his position.

 

In 2019, Manel received an award for Best Cinematography by The International Fashion Film Awards at La Jolla International Fashion Film Festival, rated by Forbes magazine as one of the best Fashion Film Festivals in the world.
